COVID-19 CHANGED EVERYTHING

The Global Virome Project (GVP) is an innovative initiative that has encouraged international collaboration and can pivot our approach from reacting to outbreaks to proactively preparing for them.

GVP is a strategic response to the now urgent need to better predict, prevent, and respond to future viral pandemic threats. By joining multidisciplinary units from multiple countries and sectors, this global consortium encourages a coordinated effort, whereby partners and participants gain the benefits of shared global and regional strategies while maintaining autonomy to respond to local needs.
