ZOE GRANGE is the Project Manager for the Global Virome Project at the University of California Davis. Zoe has extensive experience managing zoonotic disease, wildlife conservation, stakeholder engagement and science communication programs in the UK, New Zealand, Senegal and the USA. Zoe is a Postdoctoral Researcher in disease ecology at the University of California Davis One Health Institute and has been working as a Project Scientist for the USAID PREDICT Project since 2016. Previously, Zoe spent four years at Massey University’s mEpiLab and Wildbase in New Zealand where she obtained her PhD and led research programs in wildlife disease ecology, endangered species conservation and One Health. Originally from England, Zoe studied her Masters degree in Ecology, Evolution and Conservation at Imperial College London, and Undergraduate training in Biomedical Sciences from Surrey University.

Zoe’s research focuses on using innovative approaches to investigate and communicate the spillover risk of animal pathogens. She has used field studies, risk assessments, genomics, bioinformatics, modeling, information visualization, and developed web-tools to communicate her work, resulting in publications in several peer-reviewed journals.
